Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer – The Only Black Dude in the Universe

So, while I was watching, I noticed… this dude is the only black person in the whole universe. And, come to think of it, it seems the makers of Gundam like to limit their black content to one character per season or movie. In the series, it was one of the pilots in Graham Aker’s team. In the movie, it’s this guy:

Yeah, I’d be mad too. Or, actually I wouldn’t be mad; I’d be unique. Now, I know what some of you are thinking. You’re looking at his sharp nose bridge, and you’re thinking to yourselves, “He’s not black — he’s just a badly-tanned white guy.”

Well, his skin is dark enough, so sharp nose or not, he’s black.

So, what DID happen to all the black people? And why are practically none of them in space with this guy?

well considering there are a lot of guys who look like girls and girls who look like guys, maybe everybody has just cross breed with a wierd alien race who’s genders are switched and this dude is the only real earthling left… it could happen

I’m pretty sure that the president of the first season’s United Federation was black, and then the presidency went to a white woman. I think the film makers are just looking at bits of clips from American political newsreels and making things up. You know, like caption me?
